1. Bayfair Shopping Centre & Baywave Playground
Shopping with kids doesn’t have to be stressful — Bayfair has a kid-friendly vibe with a playground, parents’ rooms, and plenty of family dining options. Right next door is Baywave Aquatic Centre, complete with hydroslides, wave pool, and toddler play areas.
2. Classic Flyers Aviation Museum
Step back in time at this interactive museum featuring vintage aircraft, hands-on exhibits, and even a flight simulator. There’s also a themed playground and café, making it easy to spend a few hours here.

4. Waikareao Estuary Walkway
This 9 km loop around Tauranga’s estuary is great for biking, scooters, or a family walk. Keep an eye out for birdlife, and stop at playgrounds and picnic spots along the way.
5. Kewpie Cruises

A family classic! Head to Blake Park Mini Golf for a round of fun competition. Easy for little ones but challenging enough for teens and adults too.
