1. Bayfair Shopping Centre & Baywave Playground

Shopping with kids doesn’t have to be stressful — Bayfair has a kid-friendly vibe with a playground, parents’ rooms, and plenty of family dining options. Right next door is Baywave Aquatic Centre, complete with hydroslides, wave pool, and toddler play areas.

2. Classic Flyers Aviation Museum

This 9 km loop around Tauranga’s estuary is great for biking, scooters, or a family walk. Keep an eye out for birdlife, and stop at playgrounds and picnic spots along the way.

A family classic! Head to Blake Park Mini Golf for a round of fun competition. Easy for little ones but challenging enough for teens and adults too.

7. Rocktopia Climbing Adventure

Indoor climbing walls, clip-and-climb challenges, and bouldering make Rocktopia a hit with active families. There’s even a soft play area for under 5s, so no one misses out.

8. BayStation Fun Park

Race each other on drift trikes, try out paintball, or test your aim at laser tag. BayStation is all about family-friendly thrills and is especially popular with older kids.
